Most STI and HIV testing in NSW is conducted through GPs. It’s a good idea for everyone who is sexually active to get a regular check-up. We recommend you see a GP for this.

A DBS test is a free, easy and accurate way to test for HIV and/or hepatitis C without having to come into the clinic.
The DBS test works by putting a few drops of blood from your finger on a test card and leaving to dry.

No. You do not need to use your legal name if you’d prefer not to. We will need to ensure that you use the same name and date of birth each time you come to see us so we can keep track of your medical history and provide you with the best care.
It is important that you speak to your clinician about what medications you are taking. PrEP is just as safe and effective for people who are transgender or non binary as it is for cisgender people.
Yes, we have a team of counsellors, social workers, and psychologists who offer gender affirming counselling to help support you and your sexual health. If we are not the best service for your needs, we will refer you to other gender affirming services.
